Terms and Condtions

Battle Born Tutoring provides one-on-one and group academic tutoring services in the Greater Reno-Tahoe Area and online via Zoom. Our services include, but are not limited to:

• Math Tutoring (Elementary through College-level — Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and more)
• Reading & Writing Tutoring (Literacy, comprehension, and essay writing for all ages)
• Science Tutoring (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science — Elementary through High School)
• Test Preparation (SAT, ACT, and State Exams)
• College Application Coaching (Essay writing, application strategy, and school selection)

Sessions may be conducted in person at a mutually agreed-upon location within the Reno-Tahoe area or online through video conferencing platforms. The specific format, subject matter, and frequency of sessions will be agreed upon at the time of booking.

Our tutoring services are available to students from Kindergarten through college level. Parents or legal guardians must provide consent and may be required to sign an enrollment agreement on behalf of minors under the age of 18. By booking a session, you represent that you are either 18 years of age or older, or that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

Sessions may be booked through our website, by phone at (775) 241-8817, or by email at battleborntutoring@gmail.com. All bookings are subject to tutor availability and confirmation by Battle Born Tutoring.

When booking a session, you agree to provide accurate and complete information including the student's grade level, subject needs, and preferred scheduling. We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking at our discretion.

Schedule changes must be requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled session start time. Requests for changes made less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a late rescheduling fee.

Session Rates

Rates are subject to change. Any pricing updates will be communicated in advance and will not affect sessions already booked and confirmed.

Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of booking or as otherwise agreed upon in writing. Invoices must be paid within 5 business days of the session unless a payment plan has been established in advance.

No Hidden Fees

Battle Born Tutoring does not charge enrollment fees, contract fees, or other hidden costs. The rates listed above represent the full cost of services unless otherwise specified in writing.

Cancellations by Client

• 24+ hours before the session: Full refund or session credit issued.
• Less than 24 hours before the session: A cancellation fee of 50% of the session cost may apply.
• No-shows (no notice given): Full session fee will be charged.

Cancellations by Battle Born Tutoring

In the unlikely event that we must cancel a session, you will be notified as soon as possible and a full refund or session credit will be issued. We are not liable for any indirect costs resulting from a cancellation on our part.

Refunds

Refunds for prepaid sessions or packages will be issued within 7–10 business days to the original payment method, minus any applicable cancellation fees. College Prep packages are non-refundable once sessions have begun, except in the case of a documented emergency.

To ensure the best possible learning experience, clients agree to:

• Ensure the student is prepared, present, and ready at the agreed session time.
• Provide a quiet, distraction-free environment for in-home or online sessions.
• Communicate the student's learning goals, challenges, and any relevant educational history with their assigned tutor.
• Treat all tutors with respect. Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior toward any Battle Born Tutoring staff member is grounds for immediate termination of services without refund.

All Battle Born Tutoring instructors hold advanced degrees in the subjects they teach. We carefully vet our tutors for academic credentials, teaching ability, and professionalism. However, we do not guarantee specific academic outcomes, grade improvements, or test score results. Results vary based on student effort, attendance, and individual learning needs.

Parents and guardians of enrolled students receive access to our parent portal, powered by TutorBird. Through this portal, you can:

• View session notes after each lesson
• Book, reschedule, or cancel sessions online
• Track your student's progress over time

Access to the portal is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to share your login credentials with unauthorized third parties. Battle Born Tutoring is not responsible for data loss or unauthorized access resulting from your failure to protect your account credentials.

All content on the Battle Born Tutoring website and any materials provided during tutoring sessions — including lesson plans, worksheets, study guides, and assessments — are the intellectual property of Battle Born Tutoring or its tutors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell any materials without express written permission.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of our clients, particularly minors. Any personal information collected during enrollment, booking, or use of the parent portal is used solely for the purpose of providing our services. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except as required to operate our platform (e.g., TutorBird) or as required by law.

Battle Born Tutoring provides tutoring services on an "as-is" basis. We make no guarantees regarding specific academic results, test scores, grade improvements, or college admissions outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Battle Born Tutoring and its tutors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of our services.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific session(s) in question.

Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time. Battle Born Tutoring reserves the right to discontinue services with any client at our sole discretion, including but not limited to cases of non-payment, abusive behavior, or violation of these Terms. In the event of termination by Battle Born Tutoring, any prepaid unused sessions will be refunded.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Washoe County, Nevada, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
