Academic Journey & Professional Experience
Peter graduated from Furman University in 2018 with a degree in English, focusing on creative writing. Since then, he has been working with children and teens in various capacities. After college, he began working at a wilderness therapy program helping adolescents work on their mental health, while teaching them wilderness skills. He then worked at the Boys & Girls Club, where he helped run their after-school literacy program. Currently, Peter teaches at Willow Springs Center. In addition to his work in education and mental health, Peter is passionate about music. He has played in numerous bands over the years and writes for the online music publication Riff Magazine.
